Rates, Insurance, and Policies
RATE & INSURANCE
My regular fee is $215 per 50-min session for Individuals and $265 per 50-min session for Couples/Families. For payment, I accept cash, check, or credit card. I also have few sliding scale slots, and may be available depending on need and availability.
As for insurance, I currently only accept Health Plan of San Mateo (Medi-CAL) and do not accept other insurance plans. However, my services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I would be happy to provide you a monthly invoice to submit to your insurance plan.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions to your insurance or employee benefit plan,
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- Does my plan cover "out-of-network" providers?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
INITIAL SESSION
The initial session is an opportunity to get a sense of whether we might work well to meet your needs. If we appear to be a match, a regular time will be scheduled for followings sessions and you will be charged for the fee we agreed upon. If we are not a fit, I will charge you for the fee we agreed upon and can offer you a referral at your request.
SESSIONS
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held at a regular time each week.
CANCELLATIONS
Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, as long as they provide 24 hours notice. If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to show up, you will be responsible for the fee and charged for the full-session rate.
